High Tech Precision Wire Erosion Machining & Manufacturing

Di-Spark is a leading name in high tech precision wire erosion machining & manufacturing, offering the latest – most advanced machining & production methods to produce even the most complex parts, components and sub-assemblies quickly, efficiently and within lean manufacturing frameworks. From our earliest days Di-Spark has aspired to best practice in everything that we do. This principle has guided us to invest in advanced precision wire erosion machining technology, whilst working to internationally recognised quality standards, such as AS9100 C, SC21 and Investors in people, with highly trained staff.

Spark & Wire Erosion Machining – Running Around The Clock

We are a precision machining & engineering company, founded in 1980, we now employ over 40 people, operate from 20,000 square feet and are based just outside of Portsmouth. We offer 5 axis machining, mill-turn machining, large machining, spark & wire erosion machining processes. We look to build mutually beneficial, strategic partnerships with our customers with the aim of delivering outstanding customer satisfaction. We are committed to striving for best practice right across our business, we use such tools as lean manufacturing techniques, we are certified to AS9100 revision C, and we are signatory to the supply chain improvement program, SC21.

Multi-Tasking Wire Erosion Machining Innovation

Our customer expect exceptional service, and rightly so. Whilst we are constantly innovating, we never lose sight of the holy trinity of price, delivery and quality. In terms of technology we utilise multi-tasking machining tools, and these allow us to produce parts, components and sub-assemblies in fewer setups, with improved accuracy and reduced cycle time. Our spark and wire erosion machining cells offer state of the art automation, allowing us to minimise downtime and provide unmanned production.

Electrical Discharge Machining: Investing Into The Future

The only certainty about manufacturing is that progress doesn’t stand still, we are not afraid of change – in fact we embrace it, we look for opportunities rather than threats and constantly look to improve customer service. Investment in new technology is very important to us and we invest whenever we need to – if it improves customer service then we’ll buy. When making investment, we look to buy the best technology that we can afford. Our philosophy is that you can do a simple job on an advanced machine, but you can’t do a complex job on a basic machine. Automation allows us to work very flexibly and people do not have to work long hours in the factory and machines can be remotely monitored from home.
