Step File to CAD Model Phase: Initiating Rapid Response Manufacturing

STEP file, which stands for ‘Standard for The Exchange of Product data’ is a CAD file format used to share 3d and geometric data between CAD systems. The STEP file phase is a fast-track, optimised approach to achieving accurate CAD to CAM data exchange in order to achieve a rapid response manufacturing turn around. Quickly working the STEP file to a CAD model, our CAD/CAM team work quickly and efficiently towards an accurate CAD model ready for key dimensional checks.

Key Dimensional Checks for Rapid Response Manufacturing
